This policy covers the Second Click app for macOS. For the website itself, see the k-level.xyz privacy policy.

App: Second Click for macOS

Bundle identifier: xyz.klevel.secondclick

Publisher: Joshua Krause (k-level.xyz)

In short

Second Click collects nothing. It runs entirely on your Mac, has no network access, reads no keystrokes and stores nothing beyond your own settings.

1. Data controller

2. What the app does

Second Click adds a single behaviour to macOS: clicking the Dock icon of the app that is already in front hides that app, and clicking the same icon again brings it back.

3. Data collected

None. Second Click collects no personal data, requires no account, contains no analytics or tracking and transmits nothing. The app has no network access at all.

4. The Input Monitoring permission

macOS asks you to allow Input Monitoring, and its dialog mentions keyboard input. That wording comes from the system, not from this app — macOS offers no separate permission for watching the mouse only. What the app actually does:

  • It registers left mouse button events only — no keyboard events of any kind.
  • Clicks outside the Dock area are discarded immediately.
  • It only observes input and never alters or injects it.
  • Nothing about your clicks is written to disk or sent anywhere.

You can withdraw the permission at any time under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring. The app then stops working; nothing else changes.

5. Settings stored on your Mac

Your preferences — whether the app is active and whether it starts when you log in — are saved locally in the app's standard macOS preferences. They never leave your device and are gone when you delete the app.

6. Third parties

There are none. No SDKs, no advertising, no crash reporting, no cloud services. The purchase itself is handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy; we receive no personal data from it.

7. Your rights

Since the app processes no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct or erase. Your rights under the GDPR remain untouched and you are welcome to ask us anything.

8. Changes to this policy

Should a future version of the app change how it handles data, this page will be updated before that version is released.
